According to Goal, Real Madrid playmaker Dani Ceballos has arrived for his medical ahead of returning to Arsenal.
It’s claimed that Ceballos is in the UK to finalise his move back to North London, with a loan deal agreed between the two clubs.
Arsenal will allegedly be paying Ceballos’s wages in full, and there is no obligation for a permanent move included in the loan.
The deal should be done very soon, in another boost for Mikel Arteta this summer having already landed Gabriel Magalhaes and Willian.
Ceballos struck up a fine partnership with Granit Xhaka in the heart of the Arsenal midfield towards the end of last season, and should resume that combination this coming season.
The 24-year-old will though be expected to contribute a little more going forward, having on managed two assists and no goals in the Premier League last season.

Arsenal may even feel that another year on loan will stand them in good stead for a permanent move, even if there is no outright clause in the deal.
Come next summer, Ceballos will have been on the Real books for four years without making much of an impact – and Arsenal may see this loan as setting up a future move.
