Report states how long Jose Mourinho has to prove his worth to Daniel Levy at Spurs

According to a report by ESPN, Daniel Levy will wait until the end of the season to make a decision on Jose Mourinho’s future at Tottenham.

Sources have told ESPN that Levy wants to determine his fate at the end of the season, giving Mourinho a few more months to once and for all prove he’s the right man for the job.

The ex-Chelsea boss’ time in north London has been patchy to say the least, he’s led Spurs to a cup final already this season, but they currently sit outside of the top four and they’ve been eliminated from the FA Cup.

A run of poor results has understandably led to questions about whether or not he should stay on at Spurs, but Levy doesn’t seem keen to make a snap judgement, instead opting to wait until the season is over to make a decision.

This is probably the best way to operate. Mourinho has shown that he can get a tune out of this Tottenham team. After all, they were deemed as title contenders at the start of the season, so sacking him at the first sign of things going downhill would be a bit pre-emptive.

If Spurs don’t improve between now and the end of the season then Levy may have a decision to make, but luckily for Mourinho, he has a few months between now and the end of the campaign to prove his worth to Levy.
