According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic may be priced out of landing some of Eddie Howe’s preferred staff targets.
It’s suggested that Howe wants to bring some of his former Bournemouth staff with him, including coaches Stephen Purches and Stephen Weatherstone.
Technical director Richard Hughes is wanted too, with Howe seeking reunions with a number of Cherries should he finally land the Celtic job after weeks of speculation.
However, Bournemouth are pushing for promotion to the Premier League, and going up would see the staff in question land pay rises.
They would immediately become more expensive, and that’s a blow for Celtic who won’t want to sink big money into landing manager-specific coaches.
Bournemouth have won seven of the last eight, and may be heading towards the play-offs as the in-form side.

Celtic may be selfishly hoping that Bournemouth don’t go up, as landing Purches, Weatherstone and Hughes would be much less of a problem.
Time is also a factor here. The Championship play-off final is on May 29th, more than a month away and less than a month before Celtic return for pre-season training.
A move for Howe is looking more and more complicated for Celtic, and it may be wise for the Bhoys to look into alternative managerial targets.
