Reported Arsenal target Odsonne Edouard’s price-tag has fallen significantly this season at Celtic, the Athletic suggest.

Edouard has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, with CBS saying that he is being lined up as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette just two weeks ago.

Lacazette has since continued his fine run of form, but that report suggested that Arsenal were considering moving the French striker on in the summer and replacing him with a younger number nine.

If they do go for Celtic’s Edouard, then Arsenal may find it easier to land him this summer than last year.

Celtic slapped a £35 million price-tag on their goalscorer last season, but may reportedly have to accept a much lower fee next time around.

Edouard hasn’t lit up the Scottish Premiership this term and while he has still notched seven goals in 15 games, he hasn’t been able to keep up with last season’s scoring rate.

Whether his performances will put Arsenal off remains to be seen.

But if the Gunners do decide to go for the forward, then they could seemingly get him for a much cheaper fee than originally thought, making him a potential bargain.
