According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers target Vaclav Hladky could be replaced at St Mirren by outgoing Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
It’s claimed that Gordon has actually been offered a new deal to stay with Celtic. His contract with the Bhoys expired on Monday.
However, Gordon is considering moving on, and St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin has offered him the chance to play regular first-team football.
That may be tempting to 37-year-old Gordon, and St Mirren want him to come in and replace Hladky – who may head to Rangers.
The Sunday Post reported that Rangers were likely to make a move for Hladky this week, in an attempt to land him as Allan McGregor’s understudy.
St Mirren confirmed earlier this week that Hladky is leaving, having rejected a new deal. Rangers are allowing Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick to move on this summer, so signing the Czech star does makes sense.

Goodwin will be well aware that he needs a top replacement to come in and take the number one jersey, with Gordon now the man target for that.
Celtic were linked with Hladky too, meaning they could swap clubs, but him heading to Rangers and Gordon replacing him now seems more likely, with St Mirren set to continue talks next week.
