Clearly Tottenham Hotspur are interested in defenders this summer.
Antonio Conte’s outfit have just been knocked out of the FA Cup by a second-tier club and in the Premier League, Spurs have shipped eight goals in their last five outings.
So yeah, Tottenham desperately need reinforcements at the back when the transfer window opens.
And they’re reportedly winning the race for a real stalwart of a central defender.
Torino powerhouse Gleison Bremer is on Tottenham’s radar and according to Tutto Juve, the Lilywhites are the club showing the most ‘dominance’ at this moment in time.
That would indicate that the North Londoners are heading the queue as things stand.
Tottenham supporters probably don’t know a great deal about the 24-year-old Brazilian, but all they need to know is how he fared against Dusan Vlahovic.
With 24 goals in Italian football this season, Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in January, is one of Europe’s most exciting young hitmen.
However, Gleison man-handled the big Serbian striker.
In fact, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote that he’s the only defender to ‘destroy’ Vlahovic this season, writing for CBS Sport.
Any centre-back who can keep a striker like this on a short leash is definitely an exciting one and how Conte would love to have him at Hotspur Way next season.
