According to Tuttomercatoweb, Al-Duhail attacker Almoez Ali has snubbed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s claimed that Tottenham were keen on Ali, but had suggested that they wanted him for ‘commercial reasons’.
That hasn’t gone down too well with Ali or his representatives, and a move to North London has now been ruled out unless something changes.
Ali is also turning down Austrian side LASK Linz, but a move to Galatasaray, Basel, Shakhtar Donetsk or Lokomotiv Moscow could materialise instead.
Ali, 23, has bagged six goals and six assists in 16 games this season, with his Al-Duhail record now standing at 28 goals and 30 assists in 95 games.
Born in Sudan, Ali plays for Qatar on the international stage, and has a hugely impressive record of 25 goals in 57 caps, whilst he broke the Asian Cup record with nine goals in the 2019 tournament.
Tottenham do need another striker, and Ali could have been a player to offer support to Harry Kane in the Spurs attack.
Spurs maybe wanted Ali to bolster their image in the Middle East by signing the poster boy of Qatari football ahead of the 2022 World Cup, but the striker has seen right through it and may head elsewhere.
