Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Koln’s Leonardo Bittencourt.

According to German newspaper Kicker, Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to swoop in and take Koln playmaker Leonardo Bittencourt this summer.
Koln may have been in the Europa League this season, but they are edging towards relegation from the Bundesliga, as they lie six points adrift of even the promotion/relegation play-off places in Germany’s top flight.
A host of players may be eyeing exits of Koln do drop into Germany’s second tier, and one player appears to have a release clause in his contract, with Leonardo Bittencourt potentially on his way out of the club this summer.
German newspaper Kicker report that Bittencourt can leave for just €8million (£7million) if Koln are relegated this summer, and both Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur are keen.

Bittencourt, 24, had spells with Energie Cottbus, Borussia Dortmund and Hannover before heading to Koln in the summer of 2015, and he has hit two goals and three assists this term.
Capable of playing out wide or as a central attacking midfielder, Bittencourt has often been considered as a player with major potential, but he hasn’t quite lived up to that billing just yet.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been able to get the best out of young players before, and may see Bittencourt as a cheap player he can attempt to develop behind the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli – but with competition from Monaco, Spurs seemingly won’t have it all their own way.
