According to The Guardian (12:25), Tottenham Hotspur are set to increase their bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha to £21m, rising to £26m.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking for more pace out wide ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline, and with Nacer Chadli sold to West Bromwich Albion on Monday, there’s certainly a space opened up in the Tottenham squad.

A host of players are being linked with moves to White Hart Lane, but one of the most fascinating transfer sagas heading into the final hours of the transfer window surrounds Wilfried Zaha.
As reported by BBC Sport, Spurs had a £15m bid rejected for Zaha last week, whilst HITC Sport understand that Pochettino’s men returned with an £18m offer on Monday – which again, wasn’t enough to tempt the Eagles into selling.

Now, The Guardian (12:25) report that Spurs are set to increase their bid again, this time offering a deal of £21m rising to £26m, though Palace are allegedly prepared to reject that offer too.
Zaha, 23, is in his second spell at Palace having come up through the ranks with the club before signing for Manchester United in a big-money move in 2013.

After that move failed to work out, Zaha returned to Selhurst Park just a year later and has impressed upon his return to South London, winning the club’s Player of the Year award last season despite notching just two goals and one assist in the Premier League.
Spurs seemingly won’t give up their pursuit of the former England international, but whether they go higher than a total package of £26m remains to be seen ahead of Wednesday’s deadline.
