Tottenham Hotspur could cut ties with teenager Marcus Edwards.

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a big decision over Marcus Edwards’ future this summer.
As Reo Griffiths gets set to sign a first professional contract with Tottenham, departures could come in the Spurs youth ranks this summer.
Nonso Madueke is set for PSV Eindhoven according to Eindhovens Dagblad, Christian Maghoma has been on trial with FC Twente, whilst Keanan Bennetts has been sold on to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Now, the London Evening Standard report that the biggest decision yet will be coming this summer, as Spurs are considering the future of teenage playmaker Marcus Edwards.
Long touted as one of the next stars of English football, Edwards was even compared to Lionel Messi by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, but has fallen by the wayside in the ensuing 18 months.
Edwards, 18, has just one first-team appearance to his name with Spurs and was sent out on loan to Norwich City in January, but he played only once there too before being sent back to North London.

The teenager’s attitude and application have come into question of late, and with the report claiming that doubts have arisen over whether he will ever make the grade under Pochettino, Spurs may decide to offload Edwards this summer.
Whilst Edwards could be set for the Spurs exit, it’s also added that midfielder Oliver Skipp is hugely regarded at Tottenham and is viewed as a star of the future, but the 17-year-old won’t be considered for first-team action next season.
