Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig star Naby Keita.
RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita challenges Hamburg’s Walace
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have joined Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the race to sign RB Leipzig star Naby Keita this summer.
Keita, 22, was playing in his native Guinea with Horoya until 2013, when he made a move to France with Istres – and the midfielder has been on a remarkable upwards trajectory ever since.
Keita spent just one year with Istres before two years with Red Bull Salzburg, and despite interest from various clubs last summer, he moved on to Salzburg’s sister RB Leipzig, where he has become one of the Bundesliga’s top midfielders.
With an impressive seven goals and seven assists in 24 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig, Keita has taken Germany football by storm – and that has unsurprisingly attracted major interest.
The Mirror now report that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Keita, with manager Mauricio Pochettino gearing up for another Champions League campaign.

A true box-to-box midfielder, Keita looks set to embark on a superb career – and one way for Tottenham to combat fierce rivals Chelsea and their star midfielder Kante is to bring in a player compared favourably to the Blues ace in Keita.
However, Tottenham are far from the only club interested, as the Liverpool Echo reported last month that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also chasing the Guinean’s signature.
With RB Leipzig looking to become a powerhouse in German football, they won’t want to let Keita go without a fight this summer, and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy may need to dig deep in order to sign him.
