Tottenham Hotspur are confident Manchester United won’t pip them to Tanguy Ndombele.

According to The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur have no concerns that Manchester United will swoop in and snatch Tanguy Ndombele.
Spurs have finally made a new signing today, landing winger Jack Clarke from Leeds United after more than 500 days without a new addition.
Clarke’s loan return to Leeds means he won’t be seen in a Spurs shirt until next year, so the attention is now firmly on Lyon star Ndombele.
The 22-year-old has become Tottenham’s top target, and the Daily Mail report that he is in London today to undergo a medical with the club.
One interesting note came from L’Equipe on Sunday though, as whilst they reported a €72million (£64million) agreement between Lyon and Spurs, they hinted at late interest from Manchester United.
It was suggested that no personal agreement had been reached with Ndombele, meaning United still had a chance to make their move for the Frenchman, but were restricted by the fact that Paul Pogba is still at Old Trafford.

It’s now claimed that Spurs aren’t worried about the United rumour, believing that Ndombele wants to join Spurs and nobody else having been convinced by Mauricio Pochettino.
That Tottenham are now confidently beating United to signings is a major boost, a sign of just how far Pochettino has taken the club and how he can convince top players to join.
Ndombele should be a major force in the Tottenham midfield, replacing Mousa Dembele, and fans will be desperate to just get the deal done as quickly as possible, even if Spurs are confident there will be no hitches.
