Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to extend Josh Onomah’s contract.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur will hand a new contract to midfielder Josh Onomah – despite him signing his last deal in less than 18 months ago.
Spurs have seen the likes of Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane thrive under Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance, and they will now attempt to develop more young English talents too.

The likes of Kyle Walker-Peters, Harry Winks and Kazaiah Sterling are primed for first-team roles over the coming years, and the same goes for midfielder Josh Onomah.
Onomah, 20, has come up through the ranks with Tottenham and already has more than 30 first-team appearances to his name, having shown promise under Pochettino in limited opportunities.
Earlier this summer, Onomah starred for England at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea, playing in a deeper, more box-to-box role than he has been used to with Spurs, and his displays may set him up for a big season.
The Mirror now report that Spurs are ready to hand Onomah a new deal already, his third in the last two years, despite him signing a long-term deal back in February 2016.

It’s noted that Premier League and Championship clubs are hoping to sign Onomah on loan, and whilst Spurs are securing the midfielder’s future, they could still farm him out for first-team experience.
The new deal does though re-affirm the idea that Onomah will be a major contributor for the Spurs first team in the coming years, as the continue to guarantee his future with new contracts on a regular basis.
