Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen has picked up a suspected concussion in a clash with Simon Mignolet.
According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has suffered an injury blow having been substituted during the Netherlands’ clash with Belgium this evening.
Janssen, 22, has endured a slow start to life at White Hart Lane with just three goals to his name since signing from AZ Alkmaar over the summer, all of which have come from the penalty spot.

However, Janssen as a great record with the Netherlands national team. Janssen entered tonight’s game with Belgium possessing a record of four goals in nine games, including a screamer against Belarus at De Kuip last month.
That record meant that Janssen started up front for Danny Blind’s side this evening despite his struggles with Spurs, but he unfortunately lasted just 27 minutes.

Janssen was taken off with a suspected concussion, as reported by the London Evening Standard, after a collision with Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Janssen took a blow to the head whilst challenging for the ball in the air, and having tried to continue, he was eventually taken off the pitch, clutching his head.

The news will come as a blow to manager Mauricio Pochettino, as having only just got Harry Kane back from injury, he now has Janssen dealing with a knock.
A concussion won’t keep Janssen out for too long, but Spurs must make sure that he is fully recovered before introducing him to the first team, as concussions can cause long-term damage.
