Tottenham Hotspur appear set to face an even tougher task trying to hold onto one of their brightest prospects.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror’s live transfer feed (26/05; 19:29), Tottenham striker Reo Griffiths is now being pursued by the likes of Juventus and Roma as he awaits his first professional contract at Spurs.

Griffiths is undoubtedly one of the brightest prospects on Tottenham’s books right now. The 17-year-old scored a staggering 34 goals for the club’s youth sides this past term – but it appears that Pochettino may possibly lose him before he gets the chance to make his first-team debut.

Spurs Reo Griffiths looks to attack during the Premier League 2 match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Meadow Park on March 10, 2018 in Borehamwood, England.

The Mirror (26/05; 19:29) reports that Barcelona and Celtic are both monitoring Griffiths’ situation, and they have now been joined in the running by Juve and Roma.

The Mirror adds that Tottenham are keen to tie Griffiths down to a professional deal, but the amount of interest in him is surely unlikely to do them many favours as they attempt to get the forward to commit his future to the club.

Griffiths may be able to ask for a much more financially-lucrative deal than the one that Spurs may have previously been hoping to offer, and the striker may also be able to seek certain assurances over his path to the first-team now that clubs of Juve’s stature are in the running.

But Tottenham will not care too much if they have to pay more to keep him if he develops into anything like the striker that he has threatened to be this past season as his recent form has been something seriously special.
