Fulham are reportedly looking for a big fee for left back Ryan Sessegnon.
Leyton Orient’s Harry Cornick and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon in action
According to the London Evening Standard, Fulham are looking for much more than £3m as Tottenham Hotspur target left back Ryan Sessegnon.
The Cottagers appear to have a real wonderkid on their hands, as defender Sessegnon has been earning rave reviews in West London.
General View of Craven Cottage
Sessegnon, 16, has come up through the ranks at Craven Cottage and has already earned England recognition, scoring three goals in six games for the Under-16’s and winning two caps for the Under-17’s.
The youngster featured against Leyton Orient in the EFL Cup last week, and made his first Championship start this evening as Fulham drew 1-1 with Leeds United away at Elland Road, with Sessegnon’s debut hitting the headlines.

Unsurprisingly, Sessegnon’s progress at Fulham has caught the eye of Premier League clubs, and whilst the London Evening Standard report that Arsenal and Liverpool are keen, it’s added that Tottenham have held discussions over a deal for him.
Tottenham have earned a reputation for developing young English players under Mauricio Pochettino, with Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all great examples of this, and it’s believed that they want to add Sessegnon to their ranks as well.

The Sun claimed over the weekend that Tottenham wanted to land Sessegnon in a £3m deal, would the London Evening Standard report that Fulham have made it clear that he will cost much more than £3m right now.
Spurs do already have two superb Premier League left backs in Danny Rose and Ben Davies, but Sessegnon would give them a top talent to work with for years to come, given that he’s just 16.
Whether Spurs are willing to pay big money to land him ahead of their Premier League rivals remains to be seen though, with Fulham in no rush to sell their top young prospect.
