Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Coventry City midfielder Ben Stevenson – but Brentford have made a £1.5m move for him.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have scouted Coventry City midfielder Ben Stevenson – but he could sign for Brentford in a £1.5million deal.
Spurs have generated a reputation for developing young English players under Mauricio Pochettino, with Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all becoming key players at White Hart Lane, as well as becoming England internationals.

With players like Harry Winks, Joshua Onomah and Cameron Carter-Vickers also coming through the ranks, Spurs are set up to develop even more youngsters – and they seem to be eyeing another.
The Daily Mail report that Tottenham have been scouting Coventry City midfielder Ben Stevenson ahead of a possible move to sign the teenager.

Stevenson, 19, has come up through the ranks with his hometown club, and has hit two goals in 22 appearances with the League One side this season.
The midfielder’s performances now appear to have triggered interest, and whilst he’s being watched by Spurs and Championship side Norwich City, Stevenson may be on the move elsewhere this month.
It’s claimed that Brentford are poised to offer £1.5million to sign Stevenson during this month’s transfer window, and with Coventry cash-strapped, they may find themselves needing to sell their prized asset.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs firm up their interest in Stevenson, but £1.5million is well within their budget, and a move to White Hart Lane – even without immediate first-team football – could be more appealing than a move to Brentford.
