Tottenham Hotspur are ready to try and persuade Dominik Szoboszlai to join them, although they may be fighting a losing battle, EuroSport suggest.
Tottenham are keen to bring in Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg in January, with the Hungarian almost certainly on the move.
The 20-year-old wonderkid, who is valued at £23 million (Daily Mail), has attracted the attentions of a host of clubs across Europe, and Spurs are ready to tell him why he should pick them over the competition.
However, Tottenham’s pitch apparently may come too late, as it looks most likely he will end up at RB Leipzig.
Tottenham are battling AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and North London rivals Arsenal for his signature, but it is Leipzig who look favourites to win the race.
Leipzig are obviously connected with Salzburg due to their owners, and the Bundesliga side have become a hot bed for developing talent.

If Szoboszlai does head elsewhere that will be a disappointment for Spurs, as he would be a hugely exciting addition.
Szoboszlai shows all the signs that he could go on to progress to be one of the most dangerous playmakers in world football, and he would increase the depth of Jose Mourinho’s options at Spurs significantly if he is to arrive.
