Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to spend in January.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur want to spend on new signings in January – and Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is their top target.
Spurs failed to bring in any new signings over the summer, and boss Mauricio Pochettino is really feeling the effects of that right now, with his squad very thin after a host of injuries.
It’s imperative that Daniel Levy backs Pochettino in January, especially with rumours over potential availabilities at Manchester United and Real Madrid, and it seems that he may just do it.
The Mirror report that, after making no summer signings, Spurs are now ready to get the chequebook out in January and splash the cash on new additions to Pochettino’s squad.
It’s added that Tottenham’s primary target for the January window is Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, but they face competition from Manchester City for his signature.
Ndombele, 21, has become a star over the last year having spent last term on loan with Lyon from Amiens before making his move permanent this past summer.

The Frenchman would be viewed as an ideal successor to Mousa Dembele as a box-to-box midfielder, but it’s claimed that he would cost north of £55million after Spurs failed with a £40million summer bid.
Spurs don’t often do January business under Pochettino, but after a disappointing summer, it may now be a necessity for Spurs to spend and ensure a top four place, with Ndombele certainly a target to get fans excited.
