Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly chasing Celta Vigo’s Yago de Santiago.

According to Galician newspaper Faro de Vigo, Tottenham Hotspur have proposed an ‘extraordinary’ contract to Celta Vigo youngster Yago de Santiago.
It’s clear that Tottenham need new additions this summer after two straight transfer windows without a signing, and fans are hoping for big arrivals to mark the opening of their new stadium.
Whilst some big names have been linked with moves to North London, the latest player touted for a move to Tottenham may not be a familiar one to many.
Faro de Vigo report that Tottenham want Celta teenager Yago de Santiago, and have put an ‘extraordinary’ contract offer on the table for the midfielder.
It’s even added that De Santiago has already travelled to London to visit Tottenham’s facilities, meaning a summer move may well be in the pipeline.
The 16-year-old talent is coming up through the Celta Vigo ranks, much like Rodrigo, Santi Mina, Jonny Castro, Iago Aspas, Denis Suarez and Joselu have before him.

Mina is the only one of those players not to have featured in the Premier League, and De Santiago could emulate those former Celta youngsters with a move to Tottenham.
De Santiago has hit 11 goals in 25 games for Celta’s Cadete and B Juvenil sides this season, and seems to have put himself on the radar of Mauricio Pochettino, who loves developing young players.
