According to Calciomercato, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur are in talks over a deal involving Arkadiusz Milik, but the forward wants to move to Juventus.

The Poland international has been heavily linked with a summer transfer.

Milik’s contract at Napoli expires in 2021. It seems Napoli would rather cash in on him now rather than risk losing him for free the following summer.

Many clubs reportedly have an interest in Milik.

A recent report from Spanish editorial AS claimed Atletico Madrid were keen and have offered to double the £45 million rated forward’s current wages to £87,500 per week.

Tottenham’s initial interest was documented by Calcio Napoli 24 back in March.

But now Calciomercato say Napoli and Spurs have re-opened talks over a potential deal.

Tottenham must look at strengthening their attacking options this summer.

Heung-Min Son, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn are fine wide options, but Kane’s injury prior to the global health pandemic illustrated Tottenham’s lack of striker alternatives.

Spurs will most likely miss out on a top four Premier League place. To get back to that level, manager Jose Mourinho will need backing and key areas strengthening.

Milik was in and out of Napoli’s first team eleven prior to the Covid-19 suspension. He made a total of 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

The 26-year-old would be a coup for Spurs, but he may take some persuading.
