Tottenham are reportedly focusing their attention on Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have made Everton midfielder Ross Barkley their top summer target – and a swap deal involving Moussa Sissoko is a possibility.
Barkley, 23, has been the biggest success story from the Everton academy since Wayne Rooney’s emergence, but he has had his ups and downs at Goodison Park.
The playmaker has been accused of inconsistency in recent years, and he was briefly left out of the Everton side by Ronald Koeman earlier this term, but it only seems to have brought the best out of him.
Barkley has registered five assists and a goal in his last ten appearances for Everton, and with just over a year left on his contract with the Toffees, some believe Barkley will leave Goodison Park this summer.
The Mirror now report that Barkley has become Tottenham’s top target for the summer transfer window, with many Mauricio Pochettino seemingly keen to add yet another young English talent to his squad.
Spurs will hope to land a bargain by moving for Barkley inside the final year of his contract, adding him to current playmakers Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli – and they could look for a part-exchange deal.

It’s claimed that midfielder Moussa Sissoko – who rejected Everton for Spurs back in August 2016 – could be on the chopping block this summer having started just six Premier League games.
The report suggests that Tottenham could offer Sissoko up to Everton in a part-exchange deal for Barkley, but it would be a huge surprise to see the Toffees take him after rejecting the club last summer.
