According to TVI24 in Portugal, Tottenham Hotspur have now made two proposals for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius.
It’s claimed that Spurs have twice tried to tempt Benfica into a deal for Vinicius, but they are still short of Benfica’s asking price.
The latest offer is around €30million (£27.5million), but Benfica aren’t budging just yet, meaning the ball is back in Tottenham’s court.
TVI noted last week that Tottenham were snubbed by Benfica striker Haris Seferovic, which meant they turned their attention to Vinicius instead.
Vinicius, 25, has bagged 24 goals and 13 assists in 49 games for Benfica, becoming a real star for the Portuguese giants.
The Brazilian centre forward is a physical target man with enough mobility to not be something of a lamppost up top, and his goal record in Portugal has been hugely impressive.

Spurs do seem to be seeking a physical striker, and Vinicius ticks many boxes for Spurs, but will seemingly cost north of £30million.
Do Spurs have that kind of money right now? Possibly not, meaning Benfica’s stance could price Spurs out of a deal for the former Monaco striker.
