Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered a trial to Dion McGhee.
It’s been a busy few days on the transfer front for Spurs and it looks like they’re in the market for another player.
The 19-year-old was released by Manchester United this summer, the club he joined at the age of six.
And Vavel UK have reported that Tottenham have offered him the chance to train with them en route to possibly earning a professional contract.
The report claims that the likes of West Ham United and Rangers, as well as some foreign clubs, are also interested in McGhee.
Tottenham are clearly the biggest club that’s in for him, but doesn’t mean that joining the North Londoners is a no-brainer if he impresses during his trial.
That’s because being only 19, the path to first-team football might be just as obscured under Jose Mourinho as it was back at Carrington.
If McGhee’s goal is to play men’s football as soon as possible then joining a club with a lesser squad than the Lilywhites’ might be ideal.
