According to the Daily Star, Swansea City defender Joe Rodon wants to join Gareth Bale and Ben Davies at Tottenham Hotspur.
Sky Sports broke on deadline day that Spurs were in talks to sign Rodon, with Tottenham patient given that the domestic deadline gave them until Friday, October 16th.
No deal has been struck for Rodon just yet, but the Daily Mail claim that he is expected to make the move this week in a deal worth £13million.
Now, it’s stated that Rodon is so keen on joining Spurs because he wants to join forces with Welsh international teammates Bale and Davies.
Spurs brought Bale back to the club over the summer in a high-profile capture, whilst Davies is an established member of the squad having joined more than six years ago.
Rodon plays with both Bale and Davies on the international stage, and Spurs are favourites to beat West Ham United to Rodon’s signature thanks to his desire to reunite with the pair.

The 22-year-old would join Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga as Jose Mourinho’s central defensive options, and reuniting with both Bale and Davies could help his settling in period.
Tall and adept on the ball, Rodon is physically and technically impressive, meaning Mourinho may see him as a well-rounded prospect who can become a star at Tottenham.
