Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino seems to be on the brink of a new job.

Spurs sacked the Argentine in November of 2019 and he has been out of work ever since.

But Pochettino looks set to be appointed as Thomas Tuchel’s successor at Paris Saint-Germain following the German’s confirmed dismissal this week.

And obviously there’s going to be speculation about Pochettino poaching some players from his former club.

There is already rumours about the 48-year-old bringing Dele Alli to the French capital, having endured a rotten season under Mourinho in North London so far.

But Eurosport has claimed that Tottenham also expect the rumour mill to churn out content about Serge Aurier, Harry Winks and even Hugo Lloris following Pochettino to Parc des Princes.

Aurier is particularly interesting because the Ivory Coast international – who joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 – said recently that he wouldn’t turn down a chance to return to the Ligue 1 champions.

And with his form a bit on the erratic side under Mourinho this season, it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if that rumour gets traction, but it would be a shock if Lloris tries to leave.

The France international has been one of Tottenham’s best players under the Portuguese coach, having seen his form dip a little during the final 18 months of Pochettino’s reign.

It goes without saying that the Lilywhites can’t afford to lose their big guns like Harry Kane and Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele, but Lloris is a huge player for them too and any speculation that may crop up about him following Pochettino will make little to no sense.
