Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move to add former Everton and Chelsea man Paul Clement to Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff.
Paul Clement may now be in line for a move to Tottenham Hotspur as Ange Postecoglou formulates his plans.
That is according to a report from The Telegraph, who claim that Clement is on the Tottenham radar.
It’s stated that Postecoglou would like to bring Celtic coaches John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to North London.
However, striking deals with Celtic has proven difficult and Tottenham are now looking at other options.
Chris Davies – a former Celtic coach from before Postecoglou’s arrival – is one name on Tottenham’s wish list.
Then there is Clement, who is an option Tottenham are understood to be considering.
Tottenham are also looking at an unnamed ex-Tottenham player who could join the coaching ranks under Postecoglou.
Maybe Robbie Keane would fit the bill after leaving Leeds United, or even Scott Parker if he doesn’t want a return to management.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Paul Clement?
Clement hails from Wandsworth and had a playing career in non-league football before turning to coaching.
Clement learned in the Chelsea youth ranks whilst working as a PE teacher before moving on to Fulham.
Chelsea brought Clement back in 2007 to coach their youth team, but he ended up replacing Brendan Rodgers as Blues reserve team manager.
Clement kept moving up, working with the first team under Guus Hiddink before working as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant manager.
A brief spell at Blackburn Rovers followed but Clement was plucked by Ancelotti again as they reunited at Paris Saint-Germain and then Real Madrid.

Derby County took a chance on Clement as their manager, but he was sacked despite only seven defeats in 33 games.
Clement and Ancelotti reunited again at Bayern Munich before Clement took charge of Swansea City, Reading and Cercle Brugge with limited success.
Clement made his coaching return in January 2022, joining former Chelsea man Frank Lampard at Everton – but they were sacked after just a year.
Hailed as a ‘really good coach’ by Antonio Conte, Clement has built up a great reputation as a coach but his managerial record hasn’t been great.
Clement would be an experienced Premier League coach for Postecoglou to work with at Tottenham, which would be ideal as he heads to England’s top flight for the first time.
