Tottenham Hotspur are again being linked with Wilmar Barrios.

According to Argentinian radio station Crack Deporitvo, Tottenham Hotspur are accelerating their efforts to sign Boca Juniors midfielder Wilmar Barrios in January.
Spurs failed to bring in any new signings over the summer, and are expected to spend in January in order to boost Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
A host of players are already being linked, and one name strongly touted for a summer move to North London is once again being tipped to join Spurs.
Boca Juniors midfielder Wilmar Barrios was a Spurs target over the summer, but he agreed to stay with the club until after the Copa Libertadores, with the final coming in November.
Boca are in the semi-finals against Palmeiras, meaning that Barrios still has much to focus on, but Argentinian radio station Crack Deportivo report that he may just be on his way to Spurs after all.
It’s claimed that Boca are allowing Barrios to move on in January, and Tottenham are closing in on a €23million (£20million) move for the Colombian international, who starred at the World Cup.

The report adds that Spurs have already agreed terms with the player’s representatives, and only finer details on the contract would be needed, as well as a final agreement on the fee.
Boca are willing to reward Barrios for his loyalty over the summer by letting him go in January, and it seems that Spurs are – once again – the favourites to land the combative 25-year-old midfielder.
