Premier League bosses had wanted the league to restart on June 12th, but the Tottenham manager claimed that his side needs more time on the training ground before they are ready to get back into action.
Tottenham have now not played a match since March, and Mourinho wants an extra-week to work on his players fitness before the campaign returns.
The Tottenham boss has now been backed up by other managers across the league, who are keen to get as much time as possible working with their players before play resumes.
The Premier League could now hold the return of the league back to June 19th.

When Tottenham do return they will be looking to push on and challenge for the top four.
Spurs have disappointed this campaign and sit seven points away from the Champions League qualification spots as things stand.
Tottenham will finally have a fully fit squad to pick from when the league does restart though, as Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son have now recovered from their injuries.
