Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly blocking West Ham’s move for Kieran Trippier.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur will not allow right back Kieran Trippier to leave the club amid interest from London rivals West Ham United.
Trippier, 26, joined Spurs from Burnley following the Clarets’ relegation from the Premier League in 2015, and was brought to White Hart Lane to offer competition for Kyle Walker.

Whilst Trippier gave Mauricio Pochettino the depth he wanted in defence, he started just five Premier League games last season, though he did feature prominently in cup competitions.
This season has been much of the same for the former Manchester City youngster, as he’s started just one Premier League game – but he did grab two assists in that game, a 4-1 win over Watford last weekend.

Now, the Daily Mail report that West Ham United want to sign Trippier – but Tottenham are refusing to let the right back leave the club during this month’s transfer window.
West Ham have endured problems at right back, as Sam Byram has yet to make an impact since his move from Leeds United last January and Alvaro Arbeloa has become the forgotten man at the London Stadium following a deadline day move to the club in August.
That has forced winger Michail Antonio and defensive midfielder Havard Nordtveit into playing at right wing back, and manager Slaven Bilic understandably wants a long-term solution, with Trippier fitting the bill perfectly.
However, despite interest from West Ham and other Premier League clubs, Tottenham don’t want to let him go until at least the summer, with Pochettino looking to keep his squad together for the second half of the campaign.
