Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident of securing Andre Gomes’ signature.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur believe they will be able to strike a deal for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes this summer.
Spurs lost a Premier League game for the first time in 2018 on Saturday night, falling to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City in a disappointing showing.
Mauricio Pochettino’s task will now be to find players who can close the gap to City this summer, and central midfield may be one area that Tottenham look to strengthen.
The Mirror now report that Tottenham ace Mousa Dembele is set to move on this summer, and a move to China looks likely as he has just 12 months left on his deal.

Replacing the mercurial Belgian won’t be easy, but the report adds that Tottenham believe they can secure a deal for Barcelona’s Andre Gomes to fill the void.
Gomes, 24, was touted as a star of the future for Barcelona when they signed him from Valencia in the summer of 2016, having seen the Portugal international thrive with their Spanish rivals after a 2014 switch from Benfica.
However, Gomes has failed to make an impact with Barca, and has started just nine games in all competitions this season having struggled to prove himself to Ernesto Valverde.
A summer move seems inevitable, and with Spurs searching for Dembele’s successor, they now look set to move for Gomes – and think they can lure him to North London.
