The France international won the 2018 World Cup in Russia before switching from Sevilla to the Italian capital.

Roma midfielder Steven Nzonzi has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, according to reports.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder was part of the France side which won the 2018 World Cup with five appearances in Russia and 141 minutes under his belt (Transfermarkt).
Nzonzi also has Premier League experience from his time with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, with more than 200 games between the two sides.
Nzonzi left England in 2015, joining Spanish side Sevilla, and enjoyed a fruitful stint there, making 136 appearances in all competitions before moving to the Giallorossi in 2018 (Transfermarkt).
The Frenchman is now proving just as crucial for Roma, with 28 appearances so far this term highlighting his importance for the team after being signed by director of football Monchi, who was also previously at Sevilla.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercatonews, the Gunners are interested in appointing Monchi after the departures of Ivan Gazidis and Sven Mislintat, and the Brazilian could turn to Nzonzi once again, the two also reuniting with former Sevilla coach Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium
However, the report also states that Spurs are still interested in the midfielder, with prior reports last summer in the likes of Football London saying they were “waiting” to make their move, and also suggesting he was keen on a return to the Premier League.
