According to Transfer20, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among five clubs who want William Carvalho.

The Portuguese box-to-box midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Carvalho joined Betis for around £17.5 million two years ago.

He has become a key figure for the Seville-based club. A back Injury, however, has restricted his playing time this season to just nine La Liga games.

Transfer20 claim Carvalho is keen to move to the Premier League. Betis would welcome a sale, with the club seeking around £26 million to record a profit.

Spurs are among the suitors. Manager Jose Mourinho is described as a fan, and the question marks over Tanguy Ndombele adds further weight to a potential move.

Tottenham, however, aren’t the only Premier League club chasing him.

West Ham, Leicester, Wolves and another ‘big six’ club are reportedly keen.

The Hammers managed to bolster their midfield with Tomas Soucek arriving in January. But, David Moyes’s side still need extra strength in the middle of the park.

Leicester may feel Carvalho could provide extra competition for Wilfried Ndidi, while Wolves have a good recent record signing Portuguese internationals.

Carvalho, 28, is approaching his peak years and in today’s market could be a solid acquisition.
