According to AS, reported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Arkadiusz Milik has an offer on the table from Atletico Madrid which would double his current salary.

The Poland international striker’s contract at Napoli expires in 2021.

The Serie A club want to tie him down to a new deal. However, rival clubs are looking to take advantage and Napoli may not be able to compete on the wages front.

A report in March by Calcio Napoli 24 claimed Arsenal and Spurs want Milik.

Tottenham will be looking at a Harry Kane alternative after his long injury layoff demonstrated the lack of quality in reserve for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have concerns over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international’s contract with the Gunners expires in 2021. Like Milik, without a new deal, they would be better off cashing in this summer.

The North London duo, however, would face strong competition for Milik’s signature.

AS claim Juventus are keen, while Atletico Madrid contacted the player’s agent yesterday and put forward a proposal to double his wages to £87,500 per week.

The Spanish editorial go on to say Napoli would be open to selling Milik for around £45 million, but they aren’t keen on a swap deal involving Diego Costa.

Milik was in and out of Napoli’s first team eleven prior to the Covid-19 suspension. He made a total of 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

Aside from his nine goals in 14 Serie A starts, the 26-year-old striker averaged 3.4 shots and 0.9 key passes per game (Whoscored).
