Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly taken Mikel Miller on trial.
According to The Mirror, Sheffield Wednesday have taken Carshalton Athletic striker Mikel Miller on trial with a view to joining the club.
The Owls have been quiet in the transfer market this summer, but manager Carlos Carvalhal will be keen to make some additions after a second successive play-off campaign ended in heartbreak.

Carvalhal does have a plethora of attacking options at his disposal; Steven Fletcher, Gary Hooper, Jordan Rhodes and Sam Winnall is a four-pronged attack that most Championship managers would love to have, whilst Fernando Forestieri can also play in attack, with Lucas Joao and Atdhe Nuhiu other options up top.
Despite those options, Wednesday could be in the market for another striker, with The Mirror reporting that the Owls have taken non-league attacker Mikel Miller on trial.
Former Wednesday youth team ace and non-league sensation Jamie Vardy has started his own academy off the back of his Leicester City success, giving non-league players a chance to shine.
Carshalton Athletic striker Miller recently took part in one of the V9 Academy matches, and he appears to have done enough to convince Wednesday to give him an opportunity to win a contract.

Miller, 21, has hit 35 goals in 88 games according to Carshalton’s official website, and he could soon be calling Hillsborough his new home as Wednesday invite him for pre-season training.
Former non-league stars such as Michail Antonio, Chris Smalling and Charlie Austin, as well as Vardy himself, have gone on to carve out strong Premier League careers, and Miller will now be hoping to land his big move with Wednesday.
