Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion reportedly want Charlie Austin of Southampton.

It has been reported that although Premier League club Southampton and Championship outfit West Brom had agreed on a fee, Austin decided to stay at St. Mary’s Stadium for the 2019-20 campaign.
The 30-year-old former Queens Park Rangers forward will become a free agent next summer, as he has 12 months left on his current contract at the Saints, according to the report.
Blow for Aston Villa as well
Austin’s reported stance to stay at Southampton will be a blow for West Brom, and it will also come as a disappointment for Aston Villa.

Just like the Baggies, the Villans are also interested in securing the services of the English forward, as reported by The Sun, with the British tabloid also claiming that the Saints are looking for £8 million as transfer fee.
Given Austin’s experience in the Premier League and his experience in front of goal, he would be a very good signing for Villa or West Brom.
