Report: Southampton’s Bryan Mbeumo bid rejected

Southampton are reportedly interested in Bryan Mbeumo.

Southampton are interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Troyes in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

It has been reported that Southampton have made a bid to sign Mbeumo, and so have Wolfsburg.

Schalke are also interested in the 19-year-old winger, according to the report in the French publication.

L’Equipe has reported that Troyes have turned down the Saints’ and Wolfsburg’s bids for Mbeumo.

The offers are claimed to have been between €7 million (£6.26m) and €8m (£7.16m).

Good signing for Southampton?

Mbeumo is a very talented and promising young winger, and given that he is only 19 years of age, he can only get better in the coming years and improve as a footballer.

According to WhoScored, the winger made 30 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 2 for Troyes this past season, scoring 10 goals in the process.

It could take Mbeumo some time to adapt to the Premier League, but he could be a very good signing for Southampton in the long run.
