Daniel Bentley, Tyreeq Bakinson and Antoine Semenyo are all on the radar of Southampton, with Wolves also making regular checks on Bristol City this season, as reported by the Bristol Post.
While the 2020/21 campaign has been, well, let’s say a mixed one for Bristol City supporters, the Robins faithful can at least take some pleasure in seeing some of the Championship’s most exciting young talents strut their stuff at Ashton Gate.
Bakinson, a classy central midfielder, has forced his way into the first-team set-up following loan spells at Newport and Plymouth. Meanwhile, the skillful Semenyo has produced five goals and seven assists during his own breakthrough campaign.
According to reports coming out of the South West, Southampton are weighing up summer deals for the Bristol City duo after a series of scouting missions.
Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in Bakinson and Semenyo, as well as the 19-year-old Han-Noah Massengo (below).
Wolves have a fine track record when it comes to signing talented youngsters, with Pedro Neto, Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and co making their name at Molineux.

Yet it is not just Bristol City’s fresh-faced prospects who are attracting interest from elsewhere.
The Post claims that 27-year-old goalkeeper Bentley is also a target for a Southampton side with the second-worst defensive record in the league this season.
