Southampton are reportedly keen to sign Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew this summer.

According to a report from The Sun, Southampton are interested in signing Jordan Ayew in a ‘bargain’ move, with Swansea keen to offload the forward during the summer.
The Saints are gearing up for their first summer under Ralph Hasenhuttl. The Austrian guided the club to safety in the Premier League, and there is a sense that he is the man to get the club back on track after a couple of poor managerial appointments.
But it will be interesting to see what the supporters make of one of his reported targets. Ayew spent this past season on loan at Crystal Palace, but scored just one goal and provided two assists for the Eagles.
The Sun reports that the Swans want him off the wage bill, and the Saints may be willing to hand him another chance in the top flight with Hasenhuttl’s men leading the race for his signature.

The report notes that Palace could also make another move for the former Aston Villa man later in the window, with Swansea set to target recouping most of the £5 million they spent on the 27-year-old.
It may not be an expensive addition for the Saints, but Ayew would still have a lot to prove if he did make the move to St Mary’s. It would certainly be a huge gamble for Ayew to be the only attacking addition that Hasenhuttl gets through the door this summer.
