The Gabon international has been in good form for Lorient this season.

Southampton will have to do battle with Italian side Torino if they want to grab Didier Ibrahim Ndong in a bargain deal this summer.
It is reported by Gabon Eco that the Gabon international midfielder is wanted by the Italian side, but that Southampton remain keen on the player.

The report goes on to suggest that Torino have made a bid of £2.77 million for the Gabon international.
L’Equipe reported that Southampton were joining the hunt for the player earlier this year.
They reported that Southampton had been keeping tabs on the player this season and were impressed by what they saw. However, that same report claimed he would not be sold for less than €10 million (£7.75 million) – some way off the apparent bid from Torino.

Ndong is a Gabonese international who only joined his current club in 2015 after four years playing for CS Sfaxien in the Tunisian top flight.

He has featured 35 times for Lorient this season, scoring twice, and could be considered a potential replacement for Victor Wanyama – should the linked-away Kenyan depart St Mary’s this summer.
