Report: Southampton ready to match £25m asking price for Helder Costa

Southampton and AS Monaco are reportedly interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa in the summer transfer window.

Southampton are interested in signing Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, April 23, 2017).

Costa joined Wolves on loan from Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer of 2016 and signed a permanent deal in the January transfer window for what the report claims to be worth £13m.

According to the report, Southampton are ready to pay the £25m asking price to the Wanderers and secure the services of the 23-year-old winger.

Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are also interested in Costa, according to The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, April 23, 2017).

The Portuguese winger has scored eight goals and created 53 chances in 33 Championship appearances for Wolves so far this season.

The Wanderers are 15th in the league table at the moment with 55 points from 43 matches, while Southampton currently find themselves ninth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 31 games.
