Southampton are reported to be closing in on Marlon Santos.
The paper report the defender has chosen to sign with Southampton, amid competition from West Ham.
Santos is returning to Barcelona for his standard pre-season medical tests this week but it is claimed that his transfer to Southampton will soon be completed.
The defender spent last season on loan with French side Nice.
The report claims Southampton will pay 12 million Euros plus performance related bonuses as part of the deal.
Santos, 22, made 27 appearances from Ligue 1 side Nice last season.
Barcelona had previously signed him from Brazilian side Fluminense for five million Euros so stand to make a tidy profit on the deal.
