According to The Mirror, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is set to sign a new two-year contract and snub a move to Everton in the process.
Koeman, 53, has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top managers since leaving Feyenoord for Southampton in the summer of 2014.

The Dutchman was tasked with a tough challenge as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, and despite losing a host of key players like Calum Chambers, Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Toby Alderweireld, Luke Shaw, Morgan Schneiderlin, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert, he’s been able to build a strong Saints side.
With two top seven finishes in his two seasons, Koeman has more than replaced Pochetino, and somewhat unsurprisingly, Koeman’s exploits have triggered interest in his services.

The Mirror report that Everton are keen on Koeman having sacked Roberto Martinez earlier this month, but they look set to be disappointed.
The report claims that Koeman has changed agents, and will now snub interest from Goodison Park in order to sign a new contract at St. Mary’s Stadium.

It’s claimed that Koeman will sign a two-year deal, and receive a £500,000-a-year wage increase from the Saints after thrashing out a deal in the last few days – and leaving Everton to look elsewhere for a replacement for Martinez this summer.
