According to Sdna.Gr, Southampton tracked Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara throughout this past season and will watch him during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations when he turns out for Guinea.

The report has also claimed of Olympiacos’s interest in Southampton striker Guido Carrillo.

It has been reported that the Greek giants are interested in signing the 28-year-old Argentine striker on loan in the summer transfer window.

The report has also claimed that Spanish club Leganes want the striker back on loan, with Boca Juniors considering him as well.

Swap deal?

It seems that a swap deal between Southampton and Olympiacos regarding Camara and Carrillo would suit the two clubs.

After all, it is hard to see Carrillo have a long-term future at St. Mary’s Stadium, and the Argentine striker himself could be convinced to move to Olympiacos.

The Saints could do with a new midfielder in their squad next season, and Camara – who is 22 years of age and can also operate as a defender – would be a decent signing.
