The Basque midfielder should be familiar to Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino.

Southampton are ‘leading the chase’ for Eibar captain Dani Garcia, the Mirror reports (live blog entry: 17:53).
Garcia has been with the Basque side for the bulk of his career – and helped them to back-to-back promotions earlier this decade – but is said to have turned down their offer of a new contract, with his current one due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
La Liga trio Athletic Bilbao, Real Betis and Malaga are also credited with interest in the defensive midfielder, however it is claimed he is ‘believed to want’ a move to the Premier League, putting Southampton in the driving seat.

Garcia twice came up against Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino while the Argentine was managing Deportivo Alaves last season, with each game ending 0-0.
Southampton are not exactly short in the 27-year-old’s position, with Oriol Romeu, Steven Davis, James Ward-Prowse, Mario Lemina, Pierre-Emile Hojberg and Jake Hesketh all competing against one another for places.
Garcia, whose former clubs include Real Sociedad and Alicante, has been booked seven times in 13 league appearances this season.
Would Garcia be a good signing for the Saints?
