Southampton reportedly want to sign Danny Ings from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Southampton are keen on signing Danny Ings from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail (Transfer Live blog, 16:10pm, Sunday, July 1, 2018).

According to BBC Sport, Ings will leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the former Burnley forward will part company with the Reds in order to play regular first-team football.

Competition for Southampton

Southampton are not the only club who are reported to be interested in securing the services of Liverpool forward Ings – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to The Express – in the summer transfer window.

Good signing for Southampton?

Ings has had injury issues during his time at Liverpool, but there is no doubt that the former Burnley forward is very good when he is on form and is fully fir.

It would make sense for Southampton to sign the former Bournemouth forward, as he is still only 25 years.
