Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers and Burnley’s Sean Dyche are said to have featured on Southampton’s radar.

Southampton have looked elsewhere from Brendan Rodgers and Sean Dyche after considering the respective Celtic and Burnley managers, according to the Times.
The newspaper claims the pair were among the British bosses eyed by the Saints – whom it adds have since held talks to appoint Paulo Sousa, the man Rodgers succeeded at Swansea City, as Mark Hughes’ replacement.
Rodgers is under contract until 2021 at Celtic, while Dyche has an additional 12 months left on his Burnley deal.
And, according to the Times, those commitments have deterred Southampton, who are likely to seek a swift appointment in the event of Hughes’ sacking.
Rodgers has won domestic trebles in each of his two seasons at Celtic Park, while Dyche led Burnley into Europe this season, having established the Clarets within the Premier League.

Pressure is mounting on Hughes, with the Southampton boss having overseen a run of seven games without a win in all competitions.
And Sousa, who is out of work after leaving China’s Tianjin Quanjian, is said to have been watching on from the stands in the Saints’ penultimate fixture against Fulham.
