Southampton are leading the race to sign Theo Walcott. Everton are also interested.

The 28-year-old has struggled to get regular games at Arsenal this season, managing only 50 minutes of Premier League action, and is heavily linked with a move away from north London this month.

The Daily Mail reported recently that Southampton are keen on signing their former product (developed Walcott and sold him to Arsenal 12 years ago) on loan.
The same publication also claimed that Everton are also interested in signing the England international, who has 47 caps for his country.

Sky Sports report that the Saints are favourites to sign Walcott if the winger decides to leave Emirates during the January transfer window.
The report claims that the situation will become clearer in the next week with talks being expected to take place between the two clubs and Walcott’s respresentatives.
Walcott needs to move away from Arsenal, and may consider a wage cut to start playing regularly again.
