Celtic had agreed a fee for David Turnbull, but it seems that Southampton could now steal him away from them.

Turnbull has been linked with a move to Celtic, with the Bhoys having a £3 million bid accepted for the midfielder.
However, Celtic have publicly announced that they are struggling to agree personal terms with Turnbull, and that their current contract offer will be their last.
Southampton now feel that they may have a chance of landing the highly rated 19-year-old.
The Saints believe that Turnbull could be a strong addition to their squad, and Celtic are now facing the genuine prospect of losing one of their key targets at the last moment.

If Celtic don’t sign Turnbull now it will be a hammer blow to their transfer plans.
The youngster looks to be one of the top talents in Scotland, and could have made a fine addition to Celtic’s team.
Southampton do have more financial strength than Neil Lennon’s men though.
And there must be genuine concern that the Saints could snatch Turnbull away from Parkhead now.
