According to the Evening Standard, Southampton are determined to sign Brentford left-back Rico Henry this summer.
The Evening Standard add that the 23-year-old is a player who has previously been of interest to West Ham and David Moyes.
Henry is believed to be determined to play Premier League football next season, with or without Brentford.
The Evening Standard claim that Southampton are the side most keen to sign the 3-cap England Under-20 international.
Manchester City have also taken a look at the Brentford No.3, according to the report.
The Evening Standard state that Brentford would charge a fee in the region of £12 million – £15 million, as Henry has just two years remaining on his contract.

Brentford’s Birmingham-born defender has racked up 34 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once while recording two assists.
Following his arrival from Walsall, he has made 121 appearances for the Bees.
Henry narrowly missed out on the Premier League with them last season as Fulham won the Championship Play-Off final.

The Evening Standard also revealed that some people inside Brentford think that Henry could make Gareth Southgate’s England squad with Premier League experience under his belt.
It sounds as if he’s desperate to play top-flight football next season, even if Brentford don’t make it.
In that respect, Southampton and West Ham fans should keep an eye on this transfer saga.
